Data Collected Information QUESTION A look back ANSWER I found that the only things in common were the pill bugs and the spiders. Each Can ended up with both insects once in the same test. So the relationship is there only in that sense. RESULTS ALL Unfortunately I have little idea why I had the results I did. The insects being larger near the small-flowered bulrush could be a result of the other plants that were in close proximity to the plant. The more numerou small insects could be a result of the open area of the common rush. Due to the threats of being in the open the larger insects tend to be in condensed areas of brush; This is of course the opposite for the smaller insects. Another possibility would be the weather every time I did the test was a different set of weathering days. I believe this piece of information leads me to the direction that the insect size is a result of the surrounding brush. If you remove the numbers of the springtail you will see that the amount of insects of both plants happen to be close. The amount of insects that I caught was higher than I expected it would be. With 8 from the small-flowered bulrush site and 6 from the common rush site in test 1 there is not much of a difference. This is the same with test 3 with 1 insect difference. So both sites had a close turn out. This study has shown me that I needed more sites and/or traps. I would also try to do the study more often than I did. I would like to do this same study again, I would do the stuff above that time. I would start with ten traps all the same. I would find ten different types of areas. All around the property I would put my Cans. I would love to do this study again.
