North Ridge Trail to Marys Peak

Summary: From the parking spot follow the 2005 fire road a very short distance and take the marked trail on your right. This is the North Ridge trail. Follow it 4 miles up to the Mary's Peak parking lot (you can continue on the short Peak Trail to the summit). After admiring the view, continue back down the way you just came along the North Ridge Trail till it comes out just above the 2005 gate and back to the small parking lot. Along the way you'll see old and newer growth forest, great views & flowers (in the spring & summer).
Trailhead: From I-5 take Corvallis exit and follow HWY 20 through Philomath and follow to Newport. Approx 1.65 files out of Philomath, take a left onto Woods Creek Road which quickly turns into a gravel road. Follow it about 7.5 files to a dead-end gate and small parking lot. This hike is all single track it is about 4 miles to the top. You can do it in the winter, but you will encounter snow in the Winter. (Lat:44.5308 Lon:-123.5439)
